Season Kick Off March 7th | Friday Night Lights | 7pm

MLS Next Pro on Monday announced the 2025 Season schedule consisting of 28 regular season games for your Ventura County FC.

VCFC kicks off its season at home in a playoff rematch against Tacoma Defiance on Friday, March 7 for the Home Opener Game, before heading south to face LAFC II a week later on Friday, March 14. That will begin a campaign for County, who return the majority of their inaugural 2024 roster.

The club will play each of the Western Conference teams from both the Pacific and Frontier Divisions. VCFC will host LAFC II on Friday, May 9 for the second home matchup against our SoCal rivals in the club’s history.

In league play, clubs will vie for top-eight finishes to advance to the playoffs. VCFC is also expected to participate in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup tournament. 

High potential soccer players in North America continue to excel in MLS NEXT Pro and advance through the pro player pathway. Since the launch of the league in 2022, more than 155 players have signed MLS first team contracts after competing in MLS NEXT Pro, many going on to have an impact on their MLS teams and national teams.
