The Town FC vs Ventura County FC | Sunday June 30th

Late Drama Unfolds as we Draw the Town FC and Win in PKs

A late lead in the match wasn’t enough to bring back the full three points as we drew the Town FC away at St. Mary’s College Sunday afternoon. 

Ruben Ramos Jr. continued his great goal scoring form after winning Top Scorer of the MLS Next U17 National Championship to give us an early 1-0 lead. Aaron Bibout’s first brace of the season earned him Man of the Match.

The game ended 3-3 in regulation, but we continued our unbeaten streak in penalty kicks after a key save from Brady Scott to bring back two points.

Following a trip to the Bay Area, we return to William Rolland Stadium this Friday, July 5. Kickoff against Houston Dynamo 2 is set for 7:00 p.m in our next rendition of the “Under the Lights” series. Before entry into William Rolland Stadium, you’ll have FREE access to our Fan Fest starting at 6pm, which includes activities like soccer darts, music, and trying out our selection of local food trucks.

Name: Isaiah Parente

DOB: 3/16/2000

Hometown: Medina, Ohio

A prominent figure in the VCFC starting eleven, Parente has tallied three goals in 14 appearances (14 starts) during the 2024 MLS NEXT Pro Regular Season. Parente, who is a product of the Columbus Crew Academy, made 13 career MLS regular-season appearances across three seasons played for the Crew (2021-23) and recently made his debut for the LA Galaxy on June 19th against NYCFC.

Name: Axel Essengue

DOB: 4/30/2003

Hometown: Yaoundé, Cameroon

The young and mature center back joined the Galaxy via their partnership with the Kadji Sports Academy. Essengue leads the team in blocks and most accurate passes per 90. His calm demeanor and consistency in the back has made him a leader in the team and a favorite amongst the fanbase.
